ex) Several highly successful corporate events have been held at the Center including corporate hospitality receptions.

unanimous : 만장일치의

ex) The Committee expressed the unanimous view that the contract required revision or review by outside consultants.

be committed to n. : ~에 전념하다.

ex) Odyssey Charter School is committed to helping students achieve their full potential in everything they do.

stray : 길 잃은, 방황하는

ex) The police and animal control department have been looking into the situation, and it seems that a group of stray dogs have taken up residence in our area.

scarce : 부족한, 드문.

heed : 주의를 기울이다. 조심하다, 유의하다.

ex) These stray dogs are not normally a threat, but with winter coming, food is scarce. We ask that you heed this warning until further notice.

take place : 발생하다. ( 수동태로 쓰이지 않음 )

spill : 유출

ex) This is due to the toxic waste spill that took place half a mile off our coast on that same date.

contain : ~을 자제하다, 억제하다.

ex) Though the spill was quickly contained and cleaned up, there is still some concern.

cease : 중지하다, 멈추다.

ex) Until further notice, all commercial fishing has ceased, and all restaurants and grocery stores have been instructed not to sell any seafood.
