jeopardize : 위태롭게 하다, 위험에 빠뜨리다.

ex) The city government will reduce the number of billboards on the main road, since they jeopardize public safety by distracting drivers from paying attention to the road.

solicit : 간청하다, 요청하다

resound : 울려퍼지다.

instigate : 착수하게 하다, 선동하다, 부추기다.

detract : 주의를 딴데로 돌리다, 손상시키다

ex) At the end of the month the Public Works Commission will begin to solicit proposals for the upcoming road improvement project.

concern : (불가산) 걱정, 우려

               (가산) 중요한 것, 관심사

go out of one's way : 비상한 노력을 하다.

ex) As you know, KWR radio has gone out of its way since the beginning to demonstrate our concern for the community that we serve

endorse : 지지하다.

ex) With regard to this mission, we must once again inform the business community that we prohibit our on-air personalities from endorsing any alcohol or nicotine product.

scrutinize : 세밀히 조사하다.

speculate : 추측하다, 짐작하다.

ex) Station management also reserves the right to scrutinize any advertisement before airing it.
